Content Standards & Guidelines

We hold all advertising and sponsored content to the same high standards as our editorial content. The following guidelines apply to all content submitted for publication on nyhuffpost.com. Submissions that do not meet these standards will be returned for revision or declined.

Transparency & Disclosure

All sponsored, branded, or paid content must be clearly disclosed. We do not publish paid content without clear labeling. This is non-negotiable.

  • All branded content must be labeled “Branded Content,” “Sponsored,” or “Advertiser Content” — clearly and prominently.
  • Ambassador articles must include a disclosure identifying the commercial relationship.
  • Any material claims about products or services must be accurate and substantiated.
  • Advertisers must clearly identify themselves in all submitted materials.

Content Quality

Submitted content must meet our editorial quality bar. We reserve the right to edit, request revisions, or decline any submission.

  • Content must be original, well-written, and factually accurate.
  • Articles should be a minimum of 400 words and provide genuine value to readers.
  • Images must be high resolution (minimum 1200px wide) and royalty-free or properly licensed.
  • All external links within content must point to legitimate, reputable sources.
  • Content must be submitted in English. Translation services are the advertiser’s responsibility.

What We Do Not Accept

The following types of content will not be published under any circumstances, regardless of compensation offered.

  • Content that makes false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about any product, service, or person.
  • Content promoting illegal products, services, or activities.
  • Defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content of any kind.
  • Sexually explicit or adult content.
  • Content related to weapons, tobacco, or unlicensed pharmaceuticals.
  • Political advertising or advocacy content.
  • Content that infringes on any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Content designed to deceive readers about its commercial nature.
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing promotions, or get-rich-quick content.

Editorial Independence

NY Huffpost maintains strict separation between its advertising operations and editorial team. Advertisers do not influence editorial coverage, story selection, or journalist assignments. Purchasing advertising or sponsored content does not guarantee — or entitle the advertiser to — any favorable editorial coverage.

Review & Approval Process

All content submitted for publication goes through our internal review process before going live. We review for accuracy, compliance with these guidelines, and fit with our platform. We reserve the right to decline or request edits to any submission at our sole discretion.

  • Standard review turnaround: 3–5 business days
  • Expedited review (where available): 1–2 business days
  • Approved content will be scheduled in consultation with the advertiser.
  • We do not guarantee specific publish dates unless agreed in writing.

Content Ownership & Rights

By submitting content for publication, you confirm that you own or have the rights to all text, images, and other materials included. You grant NY Huffpost a non-exclusive license to publish, display, and distribute the content on our platform. You remain responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
